Talk, Listen, Cuddle is a campaign to support families to help their child’s development through playful learning at home. We would like to work alongside you as Educators and Professionals to share our messages. We have created a range of resources for you to share with your families to complement everything you already do in your setting and workplace. As part of our campaign we offer training and support to early years settings, schools and partners so you can develop your skills around language, communication and play. The Essex Provider page is the website that has everything you need to know about working in Early Years and Childcare in Essex. This includes training opportunities, information about funding, creating an inclusive environment, running your business and so much more.

Making It REAL
Making it REAL (Raising Early Achievement in Literacy) is a training course to help professionals to understand how to support families with home learning. The training includes inspiring ideas on how to organise family events and carry out home visits to share exciting learning opportunities at home.
Worrysaurus
Worrysaurus is a campaign to help families understand how they can support their child’s transition to school. The campaign is working in partnership with early years settings, schools, Essex Libraries, ECFWS, and Talk, Listen, Cuddle. This will compliment our social media Starting School Campaign that we run every month.
Essex Early Years Climate Pack
The Early Years Climate Pack is a collection of key guidance, tips, and information to help Early Years and Childcare settings to cut carbon, reduce their impact on the environment, raise awareness and help improve long-term sustainability across Essex.
Essex Libraries
We would love families to join and visit their local library to access free books and family sessions. The library service is keen to work in partnership with Early Years professionals to promote the enjoyment of storytelling and sharing books. Please speak to your local library about working in partnership to support your families.
Active Essex
Active Essex is the Physical Activity and Sport Partnership for Essex. They work collaboratively with local partners to ensure the power of physical activity and sport can transform lives. Their vision is to create an ‘active Essex’ to improve everyone’s health and wellbeing by working together across systems to make physical activity a part of everyday life.
Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service
The focus of the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service (ECFWS) is making sure that everyone in Essex has the best possible start in life through meeting the identified needs of children, young people and families. ECFWS are keen to work in partnership with Early Years professionals in order to achieve this.
Home-Start UK
Home-Start aims to give children the best possible start in life by supporting parents and caregivers to feel less isolated, to build their confidence in themselves and their parenting, and to find ways to manage the challenges they face. Home-Start are keen to work in partnership with Early Years professionals in order to achieve this.
Speech and Language UK
Speech and Language UK offer a range of resources, training and advice for professionals working with young children. There is also a range of information on the website for you to share with families.
